Mr. Elmuhtadi is a Director at nextmove. He has been working in
corporate assessment programs for identification of areas for
improvement in growth and operations.
Prior to joining nextmove, Mr. Elmuhtadi was a manager of the
international department at Cairo Amman Bank (a local Jordanian
bank), where his responsibilities included managing Cairo Amman
Bank’s exposure to banks, setting the Bank’s international
placement policy, analyzing other banks, participating in
international syndications and promoting the Bank to
international companies and institutions.
Mr. Elmuhtadi has an MBA and a B.S. in Business Administration
(Finance) from the California State University, Chico, USA.

Full Bank Assessment
Work included conducting a full bank assessment, analyzing this
local bank’s capabilities, identifying gaps and recommendations
that will assist in closing the gaps, grouping the
recommendations into project and designing an implementations
plan for the execution of the projects. This is based on the
attractiveness of each project, the ability to execute and the
time horizon of the return and the execution.
Corporate Finance
Analyzed the financial position of various organizations and
advised clients on capital restructuring. Developed a valuation
model for IT companies that assisted the companies in making
strategic decisions. Conducted, reviewed and provided
recommendations on economic viability of different projects.
Corporate Banking
Established & managed long term and profitable relationship
with prime local and international clients. Assessed the clients
financial needs and advised them on most suitable banking
services that meet their needs. Evaluated the risk of clients,
evaluated cash flows for clients that applied for project
finance and provided recommendations for the credit decision.
Provided all banking services for international construction
companies which assisted them in successfully executing their
projects. Successfully executed several deals including
debt/equity swap, forfeiting transactions and project finance.
Retail Banking
Managed the bank’s housing loans scheme through, developing
the approval procedures for the housing loans, reviewing and
approving housing loan applications and monitoring the housing
loans portfolio. Supervised the implementation of various
micro-finance lending programs and coordinated the execution of
these schemes with various funding agencies.
Retails Bank
Organization
Developed and published a new retail bank organization,
appointed a retail banking head and appointed qualified people
to all vacant positions. Published and packaged sales strategy.
Separate Retail Bank
Accounts
Implemented separation of Retail and Corporate Bank
accounts. Identified retail customers and published a separate
financial statement for retail bank and a cost and capital
allocation policy. Introduced systems to support retail bank
management accounts and appointed a Retail Banking Finance
Analyst.
Retail Banking Growth
Strategy
Developed roadmap and executed strategy accordingly. Worked
with bank on the execution achieving high growth rates in sales
across key lending products.
Collection Centre
Designed and established a collection unit, to monitor and
follow-up on consumer credit to collect late payments. This
included setting up the organization structure, the procedures,
the job descriptions, templates, phone manner, conduct required
etc. In addition, defined the user requirements for the
supporting system, and worked in coordination with the vendor to
ensure successful implementation.
Central Sales
Management
Developed and implemented central sales management concept
defining procedures, performance targets, KPI's, and relation
with other bank departments. Defined job descriptions and
recruited, appointed and trained retail sales, product sales and
alternative sales managers.
Product Development &
Management
Defined procedures for effective product development and
management including product idea generation, design,
development and launching of bank products. Developed market
test procedures to evaluate success of product along with
department organization and job descriptions and defining how
department would collaborate with other bank units and
customers.
Product Knowledge
Developed procedures, policies and training to ensure
product knowledge of bank staff is up-to-date enabling them to
improve ability to sell and service customers. Outcome included
product knowledge manuals, training materials, procedures and
informed employees.
