TAREK GHARZEDDINE

BACKGROUND:
Mr. Gharzeddine is a Senior Manager at nextmove in Qatar. He has over 8 years of Banking experience and over 6 years of consulting experience.
Prior to joining nextmove Mr. Gharzeddine was a Banking Senior Consultant and presales team leader in International Turnkey Systems.  Senior consultant in Ernst & Young. Accounting Officer in Bank of Beirut and the Arab countries in Lebanon. He has worked for clients in many countries (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Bahrain, Egypt, etc…).  He has played a lead role in several projects: Banking Core System Implementation, Process reengineering, Banking products development, Banking Solutions Quality Assurance
Mr. Gharzeddine holds BS degree in Economic Science from the Lebanese University in Beirut (1994) in addition to different courses in banking operations, letter of credit, letter of guarantee, Core banking system, Islamic Finance, Anti-money Laundry,  reconciliation. Training includes Business Solutions, Application Selection & Implementation, System Architecture, Business Process Reengineering, etc.

Financial Control Department Assessment
Work included conducting a full assessment of the current processes for the financial control department in a bank, analyzing the department’s capabilities, identifying gaps and recommendations, grouping the recommendations into project and designing an implementations plan for the execution of the projects.

Core Banking Solution Implementation
Managed the implementation of the core banking and branch automation solution for a bank in Lebanon, contributed in all the project activities like the preparation of the project plan, project scope definition document, project schedule, manage the teams and prepare the required documents, Manage the Customer relationship, ensure smooth implementation process and set the bank expectation right.

Presales of the Banking Solutions
Led a team of consultant to perform the presales activities for the banking solution components, and succeeded in many mega projects in the middle east, and contributed in the Gap analysis session to ensure better understanding of the bank to ensure successful implementation and development.

Business Process Reengineering
Assisted many companies in the assessment of their current processes to eliminate the non performing activities, and to reduce the direct and indirect expenses as a result to enhance their profitability.

Management Information System
Prepared the requirements of the MIS and successfully implemented the processes of MIS solution for the bank taking into consideration all the management needed information and reports.

Financial Polices and Procedures
Developed a the financial polices and procedures for one the main holding companies in Saudi Arabia, In addition to the polices and procedures for the financial control department in one of the main banks in the Gulf.

Quality Assurance
led the quality assurance / Program Management review of a core banking implementation to control the account mapping to the new system, review the testing exercise being conducted, review the converted balances, review system design documents, review parallel run process, recommend ways to mitigate project risks, recommend and apply the change management techniques during the project
